Реджинальд Клэптон был первым мужем Розы. От него у нее было двое детей, Адриан и Патрисия (будущая мама Эрика, которую от него, как известно, скрывали,выдавая бабушку Розу за мать). Реджинальд умер от болезни через шесть лет брака. Десять лет спустя после этой трагедии Роза вышла замуж во второй раз, за Джека Клэппа.
