Guys, if you want the true meaning of "live and let Die" just google it, there are many pages on the subject i.e "Live and let live" is a often heard expression of philosophy meaning "I will live, and I let others live too."
Also, the band you all like on this website were English, and although this is a Russian forum, you should not criticize if posts are done in english.... my Russian is not that good anyway!

Alisher my friend, what the hell are you complaining about!! Are you on drugs or something?? *lol*
Unless you live and have been bought up in England, you will always have some evidence of your Ruski accent when you sing english songs, the same applies to all other Ruski bands that imitate english bands. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that!!! Be proud that you have learnt English to a level that can be understood and reproduced on stage. I myself now need to learn Russian, My lovely Rita is teaching me the basics at the moment!
By the way, what does a Castrated Rooster sound like?? I've never had the pleasure of hearing one!! Keep the music real and live - Poka John |

I play in a semi pro 60's band in the uk so i can tell u that finding gigs in large venues would be difficult for any band unless you were a top "tribute" with good management. Lets take for instance the "Bootleg Beatles" these guys play theatres up and down the country often and tour the world, and obviously make big bucks! The other end of the scale, is playing in social clubs pubs, its good fun but the money is poor! There are so many "want to be" beatles bands here already, and many don't find work at all. You are better off touring RU,is my simple answer to your question. Remember one thing, i have seen you guys play and i think musically you are excellent! Just keep practicing those english accents ! |

just to say you played really well last night at Georges Party, i was very impressed with your choice of songs, and i can tell you for certain, many UK Beatles tribute bands would not even dream of doing the songs you did!
When im in Moscow next time, i'll come on stage with you and do a couple of songs with you! Take care - John |

Thanks again for all your messages nice people in Russia. It seems you guys are really mad on the Beatles by the amount of hits this site gets a day... I want to know what exactly attracts you to the music?
For Varna, i play in a 60s Rock and Roll band. In the band i play bass guitar and sing. We play everything from Beatles to Elvis to Roy Orbison to Chuck Berry, the whole thing ! very popular where we live.
The music i mostly like are songs with strong medleys and vocal arrangements. This is why the Beatles and Beach Boys are my top two favourite bands. From the Beatles my favourite album is 'Rubber Soul', i remember as a kid working out the guitar to Norweigan wood and Nowhere man.. i also learnt many songs on the Piano, listening and working out the chords by ear.. From the Beach boys, what can i say about 'Pet Sounds', Wouldn't it be nice and God Only Knows are true masterpieces.
Penny lane was the first Beatles song i ever heard on TV. As soon as i heard it (i was 13), i asked my mother to buy me a album with it on. We went to Woolworths (a big department shop in England), and she bought me the Beatles Blue 1967 to 1970 album. From then i was hooked! today im 30 years old and still hooked :)
What songs do you like and what does it mean to you ? |

Its amazing how you all speak good english.. In england we learn French (Bonjour), Spanish (Hola) and German (Guten Tag) at school. Very few people speak Russian. I'm sure i will learn some new Russian words soon though. Has anyone here been to England? |

Hello everyone.. John here ! Thankyou for all your welcome messages. I suggested to Rita last week that we should have a English speaking community setup on this site, so hopefully this forum will be just that. I myself am a Engineer and part time musician. At weekends i go around playing and singing 60s music at diferent clubs / pubs in the West Midlands (where i live). Like many people on here I love the music of the Beatles, BeachBoys, Elvis and everyhing else around that time. So if your in England, Russia, France, USA or wherever drop by and say hello! |
