Я решилась поехать, но на концерты в Германии!.) хотя бы на один.. А мы вам желаем - viel Spaß! ))) Почему-то ноги сами несут, ум впрочем тоже согласен.. так что теперь иду смотреть билетики!.)

P.S Не в силах от такого отказаться, потому что мне в принципе ранний период Битлз очень нравится! )Мне кажется, там и концерт Пола будет особенный (уже говорила об этом раньше).

Уведомляю всех, кому интересно - Visa Electron не предназначена для интернета. Хотите полноценную карту - то это Виза Классик (ну и аналог у мастеркард и т.п..). Уточнил в банке... По виза электрон билеты не забронировать, как и вообще ничего толком не оплатить в мире по сети.

In radio interview, Paul McCartney talks about upcoming release, hints at more European shows

Paul McCartney did a brief interview on BBC Radio 2 with Chris Evans Thursday talking about his upcoming European shows and the release of the "Good Evening New York City" live CD/DVD.

He said "I did some shows in America and we had a great time. And I was just talked to my promotor and I said, 'I'd just like to bring this show home.' " He said the setlist for the European shows will be similar to the American shows, but "it won't all be the same."

He was asked if he would consider doing a residency at London's O2 Arena, and he hinted there may be more European shows in the offing.

"We'll just do one this time. Maybe do a few more next year."

He said "Good Evening New York City" arose out of being asked by Billy Joel to help close Shea Stadium.

"I managed to get there. I flew out that night. I don't know how I did it, but I got there with the aid of the Customs and the cops and everybody. I managed to get onstage right at the end of his show. The old Shea Stadium. It was about five in the morning for me by that time. But it was fabulous for me. I really enjoyed it. So in a way, I opened and closed that. And then I got an offer to open the new one, which is called CitiField. That's the new Shea Stadium. So we did three nights there on this recent tour. And we filmed it and that is what this 'Good Evening New York City' is. It's a film of those shows."

He talked about a memorable moment from the U.S. tour.

"I always complain about the signs people hold up. I don't really complain but I'm saying to the audience, 'I'm trying to remember my words and my chords and sing it and I've got to read all these signs.' ... Anyway, this was this sign here. This woman says, 'Sign my arm and I'll get it tattooed.' And I said, 'Oh, no.' And the audience said, 'Do it. Do it' So I had to get her up on stage by popular demand and then she showed up a couple of gigs later with a tattoo."

That, of course, would be Audrey McCombs (who we've written about here, here and here). We talked to Audrey Thursday night and she'd heard he'd talked about her. She heard the clip posted on YouTube. She said she'd logged on to the Paul McCartney.com message board and was told by some of the users there about the interview. She said she cried when she heard the news and it made her "really really happy." She also said there's a possibility she may attend the London show.

Молодчага Ленчик!!! Я бы поехал, все можно, средства тоже позволяют! Мешают обстоятельства личного характера!!!

Ребята, я смотрела сейчас на eventim.de билеты в Гамбург, Берлин и Кёльн.
Появились такие особые VIP билеты за 309, 509 и 1015 евро. Ради интереса решила взглянуть - так вот,
за 500 и 1000 евро помимо разных там отдельных парковок, дорогого ресторанного меню и т.д предоставляются самые лучшие места близко от сцены, проходки для VIP-персон (где возможно) и возможность пройти на саундчек.))
А вот за 300 евро на саундчек уже почему-то не получится! :)
Эх!. Да конечно все это могло бы быть интересно, но за такие деньги я не смогу ( Хотя в пределах 200 евро, и даже за 100 можно достаточно хороший билетик купить тоже близко от сцены.

А мне просто стало интересно - вот если человек заплатит 1000 или 500 евро (ну, допустим)). Тогда разрешат пройти и в музей битлов, когда сэр Пол туда приедет или на пресс-конференцию тоже, скажем?:))

Правда что до меня, то даже просто попасть на сам концерт - уже будет счастье! :) будет вполне достаточно.. хотя приду, где получится. Мне даже и не хотелось бы оплачивать такие вещи деньгами - ну так, почему-то.
Но зато ведь можно вспомнить саундчек в Киеве и наши VIP-места совсем бесплатно!.)) я слушала его издалека - было прекрасно слышно.. На самом деле было прикольно, потому что Пол тогда играл совсем не те песни, к-рые исполнил вечером на концерте! :)

McCartney's O2 concert tickets snapped up in just 20 minutes

Tickets for Paul McCartney's O2 concert in December sold out in under 20 minutes. The former Beatle will be coming to Dublin as part of a European leg that will see him play eight special arena shows across Europe. It will be his first visit to these shores since his Back In The World tour of 2003, and with interest in The Beatles re-released material now peaking it is expected to be a show full of some of the greatest songs of the last half-century.

Macca's other shows will be in Hamburg, Berlin, Arnhem, Paris, Cologne and London where he will finish with his only British show of the year at the O2 Arena on December 22. McCartney said he was planning on taking in many of the cities where The Beatles started on the road to superstardom. "This is my chance to bring our current show home to where it all began. "Starting in Hamburg, ending in London and rocking everywhere in between. I'm very much looking forward to ending the year on a high," he said.

It has been an extremely successful year for the Liverpool legend. He was nominated for two Grammys earlier this year, and also headlined the US Coach-ella rock festival, at the tender age of 67. McCartney also performed to mark the opening of The New Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, a gig that sold out in an amazing seven seconds, setting a new sales record with tickets being snapped up at a phenomenal rate of 600 per second.

Ничего не понимаю! Вроде ввела все свои данные в тикетшопе, заказала билет на Кельн, ввела данные своей Visa Electron (авось прокатит!!!) По моим познаниям английского покупка произведена...Ну узнаю я купила билет или нет когда баланс карты проверю
Насколько я поняла билет должны прислать на мой адрес, а если мне визу в Германию не дадут то билет вернуть нельзя?!

Press Release: Good Evening Europe Tour 2009
Following a massive tour of the US this summer, Paul McCartney today announces his first European Tour since 2004. This December will see Macca play seven special arena shows across Europe, culminating with his first ever public performance at London's O2 Arena, which will be his only UK date of this year. Other firsts on this tour will include shows at Berlin’s O2 World venue and Dublin’s The O2. Paul's legendary live performances are a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience. The audience gets to re-live some of the greatest moments in music from the last 50 years, many of which have become the soundtrack to living.

Paul commences his tour in Hamburg – a city he is very familiar with. Incredibly, it's now 49 years since The Beatles historic visit, which created rock folklore and put Hamburg on the map as a musical Mecca for hundreds and thousands of music pilgrims over the years. This will be Paul’s first time back in Hamburg (as well as Arnhem, Cologne and Dublin) since his 2003 "Back In The World" tour. Meanwhile, the people of Berlin will get their first Paul McCartney concert in 16 years, since 1993's "New World Tour"! December will take Paul back to Paris for the first time since he played an intimate club show at the Olympia in 2007.

London's O2 Arena will host Paul's final show of 2009 where he will bring the year to an end on a high. This will be his ONLY live show in the UK this year! Paul’s last UK show was a massive sellout concert at Anfield Stadium in 2008. At the time the Liverpool Echo wrote, "If Anfield had a roof, Macca would have blown it off." The O2 Arena does have a roof so it’s set to be a massive night of excitement and rock n' roll Macca style! Although this is Paul's first public performance at the O2 Arena he is very familiar with the venue. In 2004, before the O2 Arena was up and running as the world’s greatest music venue, Paul used the Millennium Dome (as it was known then) for rehearsals for his massive stadium "04 Summer Tour" which ended with Paul headlining the Glastonbury Festival which has gone down in rock history as the greatest festival moment ever. Although his rehearsals at the Millennium Dome were meant to be top secret, he was soon rumbled when a near by resident complained about the rock n’ roll noise upsetting his cat!

Speaking about the tour, Paul said: "This is my chance to bring our current show home to where it all began. Starting in Hamburg, ending in London and rocking everywhere in between. I'm very much looking forward to ending the year on a high."

What a year 2009 has been for Paul. He kicked it off by teaming up with Dave Grohl to perform "I Saw Her Standing There" at the Grammys, where he was also nominated for two awards. In April, Paul performed in New York at the David Lynch Foundation's benefit concert, "Change Begins Within". He was joined on stage with Ringo Starr for a special finale. Paul also headlined the Coachella Festival (his first US festival appearance) and performed a show to mark the opening of The New Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, a gig which sold out in seven seconds, setting a new sales record with tickets selling at a rate of 600 a second. July 11th took Paul to Halifax, Nova Scotia for his first ever concert there, which took place on the Halifax Commons. The mayor of Halifax described the show as the largest and most exciting concert in its 260-year history.

Following Halifax, Paul embarked on a five-week tour of the US; 'Summer Live '09'. The tour commenced with the inaugural run of shows at New York's Citi Field Stadium, which was the site of the former Shea Stadium where The Beatles made history in 1965 when they played a concert that set the precedent for the modern day stadium rock show. Critics hailed the Citi Field performances, seen by over 120,000 people, as the concert experience of a lifetime. The tour concluded in Dallas on the 19th of August.

For those of you who won't be able to make it to one of the European shows this Christmas you can re-live the Macca magic with 'Good Evening New York City', a multi-disc CD/DVD featuring performances recorded at New York’s Citi Field from Paul's 'Summer Live '09' tour.

For Whom The Bell Tells...

As you can imagine the Paul McCartney press office is an exciting and interesting place to work. There is no such thing as a dull day here. What the outside world might not ever think about or get to see are the thousands (literally) of requests this office receives on behalf of Paul on a weekly basis and of course we do our best to respond to everything. However it's not all paper work here. Each week, in our line of duty, we get to hang out with Paul and we are a constant fly on the wall, so to speak. Well, we thought it might be nice to share this position and be 'the fly on the wall' (or more like 'the eye on the Paul') and share our findings with the good users and people of PaulMcCartney.com.

So here goes Week One... and what a week to start on.

Monday 26th October saw Paul make his Broadway Debut (hard to believe I know). There was a lot of fact checking just to make sure this really was his Broadway first, but the checking proved it definitely was. You will have read about Paul’s performance in the news section so we won’t go into too much detail, but our spies on the ground tell us it was a great night and Paul had fun chatting to his fellow cast members and Jo Sullivan, Frank’s widow. Paul’s performance was accompanied by a small orchestra and he performed 'On A Slow Boat To China', not literally though, as he pointed out to us shortly after!

Meanwhile, whilst Paul was treading the boards in NYC and getting a taste for Broadway, the press office was receiving the exciting news that Paul's only UK show of this year (at the O2 Arena on the 22nd of December) sold out in literally a matter of minutes. Very cool - we love news like that!

Amidst the excitement, David Campbell, the CEO of AEG (owners and operators of The O2) got in touch to tell us, “Since opening over two years ago Paul McCartney has been the dream act. I’m absolutely thrilled that the dream has become a reality and this true British musical icon will play the building. It doesn’t get much better than this.”

Following the announcement, Paul’s O2 Arena show topped the Google Trends list, which means it was the most looked at news story on the internet in the UK!

We know first hand just how excited Paul is about his forthcoming tour and how well all the preparations that go into making a successful tour are coming along. There are going to be some special treats but we can't share these just now with you (where's the surprise, people?!?) so there is much to look forward to.

There's a lot going on in November for Paul, in keeping with this year so far. Paul will be busy rehearsing with his band for his tour and will take a break from the rehearsal room on the 12th of November to appear at the Royal Albert Hall for Children In Need. We'll be bringing you all the latest official Macca news from the night itself. In the middle of all this he has taken the time to complete a new Q & A for the website which will be posted shortly, so keep checking.

As we get nearer to the release date of the new CD/DVD ‘Good Evening New York City’, we are doing our best to find the time to get Paul out and about to do some interviews, so we’ll keep you posted as we go so that you know where to look out for them.
