The Beatles perform at the Casbah Coffee Club, West Derby,
Liverpool. Then they go to New Brighton to perform at the Tower
Ballroom in promoter Sam Leach's "Operation Big Beat II". Popular
American singer Davy Jones (a black singer, not the Monkee) joins
The Beatles on stage for two numbers.

The Beatles perform at the Royal Lido Ballroom, Prestatyn,
Flintshire, their second appearance in Wales.

The Beatles, on a tour of Britain, perform two shows at the ABC
Cinema in Hull, Yorkshire.

The Beatles in the recording studio (Studio Two, EMI Studios,
London). The Beatles get together for the first time since their
return from the summer tour of the United States, ready to record a
new album. The first song selected for recording is John's
"Strawberry Fields Forever", which will end up, not on the album,
but on The Beatles' next single. This day's session is devoted
entirely to "Strawberry Fields Forever", a song which evokes
memories from John's childhood, mixed with the mind-expanding
elements of LSD. One of the most complex of all Beatles' songs, it
will undergo numerous changes in the studio from this first day's
recording, which ends with a completed track that is only 2 mins 34
secs long. Take 1 of "Strawberry Fields Forever" was released on
"The Beatles Anthology 2" (Disc two, Track 2).

UK release of Beatles single "Hello Goodbye/I Am the Walrus"
(Parlophone). 10 weeks on the charts; highest position #1.

John Lennon in the recording studio (Studio Two, EMI Studios,
London). Compiling sound effects tapes for the upcoming stage
production "The Lennon Play: In His Own Write". The play is based
upon John's books "In His Own Write" and "A Spaniard in the Works".
Victor Spinetti is the play's director.

UK release of John Lennon/Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band w/ Harlem
Community Choir single "Happy Xmas (War is Over)/Listen, the Snow
is Falling" (Apple). Issued on green vinyl. The flip side is a
Yoko Ono song. 6 weeks on the charts; highest position #4.

UK release of double LP "Tommy" by the London Symphony Orchestra
and Chambre Choir (Ode). Ringo Starr sings the part of Uncle
Ernie, singing the songs "Fiddle About" and "Tommy's Holiday Camp".

George Harrison, on a tour of North America, performs in Houston,
