** The following events in Beatles history all took place on November 19. **

------------------------------------------------------------------------
[B] Beatles * [J] John * [P] Paul * [G] George * [R] Ringo * [O] Other
------------------------------------------------------------------------

[B] 1960
The Beatles perform at the Kaiserkeller Club, Grosse Freiheit,
Hamburg, West Germany.

[B] 1961
The Beatles perform at the Casbah Coffee Club, West Derby,
Liverpool.

[B] 1962
A busy day for The Beatles, who perform at three different venues.
First they perform a lunchtime show at the Cavern Club, Liverpool.
This is followed by an 85-mile dash to the Midlands, where The
Beatles perform at Smethwick Baths Ballroom (aka Thumblemill
Baths), Bearwood, Smethwick, Staffordshire, and then at the Adelphi
Ballroom, West Bromwich, Staffordshire.

[B] 1963
The Beatles, on a tour of Britain, perform two shows at the Gaumont
Cinema in Wolverhampton.

[P] 1966
Paul McCartney, Jane Asher, and Mal Evans return to London
following a vacation in Kenya.

[G] 1976
UK release of George Harrison LP "Thirty-Three & 1/3" (Dark Horse).
Songs: "Woman Don't You Cry For Me", "Dear One", "Beautiful Girl",
"This Song", "See Yourself", "It's What You Value", "True Love",
"Pure Smokey", "Crackerbox Palace", and "Learning How to Love You".

[G] 1976
UK release of George Harrison single "This Song/Learning How to
Love You" (Dark Horse). Released on the same day as the
"Thirty-Three & 1/3" LP.

[B] 1976
UK (first) release of Beatles LP "Magical Mystery Tour"
(Parlophone). Although this album was released in the US on Nov.
27, 1967, it had never been released in the UK. The double EP
"Magical Mystery Tour", containing only the six songs that appear
on side one of the LP, was the only UK format available prior to
this. Because of this, many British fans had bought imported US
and German copies of the LP. Songs: "Magical Mystery Tour", "The
Fool on the Hill", "Flying", "Blue Jay Way", "Your Mother Should
Know", "I Am the Walrus", "Hello Goodbye", "Strawberry Fields
Forever", "Penny Lane", "Baby You're a Rich Man", "All You Need Is
Love".

[G] 1976
George Harrison and Paul Simon record "Here Comes the Sun" and
"Homeward Bound" for the US television program "Saturday Night
Live". Broadcast on Nov. 20.

[B] 1977
UK release of Beatles compilation double LP "Love Songs"
(Parlophone). Songs: "Yesterday", "I'll Follow the Sun", "I Need
You", "Girl", "In My Life", "Words of Love", "Here, There and
Everywhere", "Something", "And I Love Her", "If I Fell", "I'll Be
Back", "Tell Me What You See", "Yes It Is", "Michelle", "It's Only
Love", "You're Gonna Lose That Girl", "Every Little Thing", "For No
One", "She's Leaving Home", "The Long and Winding Road", "This
Boy", "Norwegian Wood", "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", "I
Will", and "P.S. I Love You". Highest chart position: #7. [Note:
On re-releases, the song "You're Gonna Lose That Girl" appears with
the title "You're Going to Lose That Girl".]

[B] 1982
US re-release of Beatles single "Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You"
(Capitol).

[B] 1987
UK re-release of 13 Beatles albums on new cassettes that were
produced from the digital masters used for the CD releases (so the
first 4 albums were in mono); issued in a set called "The Beatles".
Manufactured using high-quality tape. Albums: "Please Please Me",
"With the Beatles", "A Hard Day's Night", "Beatles For Sale",
"Help!", "Rubber Soul", "Revolver", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts
Club Band", "Magical Mystery Tour", "The Beatles", "Yellow
Submarine", "Abbey Road", and "Let It Be".

[P] 1990
US release of Paul McCartney CD and cassette "Tripping the Live
Fantastic: Highlights!" (Capitol). Shortened re-release of
McCartney's double CD, triple LP, and double cassette live album
issued two weeks earlier. Songs: "Put it There", "Got to Get You
Into My Life", "Birthday", "We Got Married", "The Long and Winding
Road", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Can't Buy Me
Love", "Things We Said Today", "Eleanor Rigby", "My Brave Face",
"Back in the USSR", "I Saw Her Standing There", "Coming Up", "Let
It Be", "Hey Jude", "Get Back", and "Golden Slumbers/Carry That
Weight/The End". The UK version has the song "All My Trials" in
place of "Put it There". The album was not generally released on
vinyl, but Columbia House Record Club did release a shortened
12-inch vinyl version (five fewer tracks) that contained "All My
Trials", the only release of this song in the US.

[P] 1990
UK release of Paul McCartney CD and cassette "Tripping the Live
Fantastic: Highlights!" This is the first McCartney album not
released on vinyl in the UK. Songs: "All My Trials", "Got to Get
You Into My Life", "We Got Married", "Things We Said Today", "Back
in the USSR", "Birthday", "The Long and Winding Road", "Sgt.
Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Can't Buy Me Love", "Eleanor
Rigby", "My Brave Face", "I Saw Her Standing There", "Coming Up",
"Let It Be", "Hey Jude", "Get Back", and "Golden Slumbers/Carry
That Weight/The End".

[B] 2000
The Beatles' compilation album "1" is #1 in France (listed on
compilation chart only).
