Anthology на DVD - кто что слышал?

Пипл, кроме как на abbeyroad - кто-нибудь что-нибудь знает о предмете?

Слухи утверждают, что это будет 4 DVD-set и выйдет он 5 ноября. Все будет замиксовано в 5.1 так же как и Yellow Submarine DVD. Так что можно будет ждать волну новых бутлегов подобных Kaleidoscope (http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=kscope1).

а поконкретнее о слухах, Corvin, плиз?.. откуда шорох? на Амазоне молчат как партизаны, а в битловских сайтах чего только не услышишь (не в обиду данному будь сказано)

так я с него и начал - см. выше :-)))

Все-таки Я, думаю, выйдет 6-ть DVD, 6-ой с бонусом.

A graduate manager of EMI-Brasil confirmed that the series ANTHOLOGY in DVD will be thrown in March 2003 with 5 DVDs and many extras. The original source is EMI-London. Paul besides is participating in the remix for 5.1 of the musics. The same source said that the Original Collection of Beatles will be release in SACD - SUPER AUDIO CD in 2004 with bonus tracks and remixes.

Корвин, помните мы говорили о лесенке кассета-винил-си-ди, к которой не дай Бог еще добавится новый апгрейд SACD - скоро это похоже произойдет. Коммерческие механизмы неумолимы.

It is interesting to read of the speculation about the Beatles catalogue being reissued either on the new SACD or DVDA formats. EMI seem to favour DVDA, as high profile albums, including Queen's seminal 'A Night at The Opera', have already been released on this format.

One source tells us the set has a suggested price of $109.98 for the 5 discs. The actual retail price will likely be closer to $89 or $99, depending on where you buy it.

A SECRET reunion of three surviving Beatles where they performed their greatest hits is to be released on DVD.

The hour-long footage of Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr was shot in 1994.

It shows the only time the three played together after the band split in 1970.

Last night it was set to be one of the biggest-selling DVDs ever.

A source at Apple records said: “This is going to be a treat for Beatles fans. It’s gold dust. It was the only time they performed after the famous gig on the roof of Apple in 1969.”

The jam was taped at George’s home, Friar Park, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, on June 23 1994. Paul and George were on acoustic guitars and ukuleles and Ringo was on drums.

It includes renditions of Love Me Do, Roll Over Beethoven and I Saw Her Standing There.

It also features rarer songs performed by the band during their early days — like Blue Moon of Kentucky and Ain’t She Sweet.

The source added: “It was recorded at the time of the Beatles Anthology. There could be a release in the summer but it may be moved to near Christmas.”

Fourth Beatle John Lennon was shot dead in 1980. George Harrison died in November 2001.

AT LAST - THE BEATLES ANTHOLOGY ON DVD

On March 31st, eight years after The Beatles themselves told the story of the world's greatest rock and roll band in The Beatles Anthology, EMI will release the complete work on DVD - but now featuring the final chapter; never-released footage of the last jam session of Paul, George and Ringo, playing non-Beatles material.

The Beatles Anthology DVD boxset features all of the original eight episodes that candidly reveal the story of how the four lads from Liverpool changed everything.

The Beatles Anthology was shown in 1995, when John, Paul, George and Ringo told The Beatles' story for the first time. At that time the Anthology project caused a worldwide sensation as it launched a TV series, three double-CD sets that each topped the album charts in the USA, plus Free As A Bird and Real Love - the first new Beatles recordings in 25 years. All 10 hours of the original Anthology series will now be released across four DVD discs, plus an additional disc with 81 minutes of Special Features. Nearly all of the material included on this 5th disc has never been seen before.

For years, rumour has been rife among fans of the existence of intimate footage of Paul, George and Ringo jamming together during breaks in the making of the Anthology. This session and other get togethers were filmed over a 12-month period when the three Beatles met in private and at Abbey Road studios. It includes the trio warmly remembering personal moments from their early days, reflecting on how they made their music and footage of them shot in the studio as they recorded Free As A Bird and Real Love.

Technically, the DVDs offer a spectacular audio/visual experience, featuring re-graded picture quality and new audio mastering including 5.1-surround sound and a new stereo PCM soundtrack.

The Beatles Anthology DVD will be released on March 31st, 2003
