Выходит альбом памяти Линды - A Garland For Linda 14 февраля EMI Classics выпускает альбом "A Garland for Linda" с музыкой 9 современных английских композиторов, а также Ralph Vaughan Williams. Причина выпуска диска - дань памяти Линде и сбор средств на исследования рака.
Подобный диск выходил в честь юбилея коронации Королевы Елизаветы. 10 ведущих британских композиторов отдали свои новейшие композиции и диск Garland for the Queen занял первое место в своей категории.
A Garland for Linda - часть The Garland Appeal, интернационального благотворительного фонда, поддерживающего исследования рака. Среди композиторов: Paul McCartney, John Tavener, John Rutter, Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Roxanna Panufnik, Michael Berkeley, Judith Bingham, David Matthews и Giles Swayne. Хоральные композиции исполняют Joyful Company of Singers с дирижером Peter Broadbent, флейтистом Philippa Davies and виолончелистом Robert Cohen. 
Пол написал в буклете к CD: "What happened to Linda happens to many others. We must do all we can to fight cancer. For this reason, I welcome the opportunity, through my music, to raise funds for research to help eradicate breast and liver cancer. I am touched by the musical tributes from the other composers and I am deeply grateful to the performers and organisers of A Garland for Linda. Music does have an extraordinary power to move people and to provide a source of hope. I pray that, through A Garland for Linda, The Garland Appeal can achieve its worthwhile goals to the benefit of music, musicians and cancer sufferers everywhere."
Премьера A Garland for Linda состоялась в Charterhouse School в июле 1999 года. На концерте присутствовали 9 композиторов. Это выступление послужило началом программы Garland Appeal, целью которой служит сбор 2 миллионов фунтов. Выступления будут идти еще 3 года и будут исполнены как минимум 200 раз по всему миру.
EMI Classics передаст все доходы от продажи альбома в Garland Appeal.
